Illustration Friday – Theater

When I saw the topic for this week, I thought how appropriate it was for our house this weekend! My daugher, hannah, is in her last middle school musical, as the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods - by the wonderfully awesome Stephen Sondheim. And my equally awesome daughter did the most fabulous job! It was great fun. I'm posting a piece that I did a while ago called Waiting to Enter. It seemed appropriate with the whole waiting in the wings thing as I saw Hannah peeking out from the wings and giving us a thumbs up before the show began.

Whoa! Way fun! I really like all of the wonderful colors in the fragmented pieces. It fits with what you say is going on too. (and now I'm going to go look at your other things).

Oh FABulous! Love the controlled chaos. This certainly does look like performers waiting to enter. Or clubbers waiting to dance and be seen on a Saturday night! Fun, fun, fun!

Really love the patterns and shapes on this one. Beautiful colors as always. Really like your 'impossibility' piece as well.
