Illustration Friday – Subtract

At first I was totally at a loss by this week’s theme. Then I was thinking about a piece I just finished last night for an upcoming show with the theme of “Are U Angry?”…I think there’s a tie-in. This piece is called Worthy of Anger – and it was inspired by a friend of mine who lives his life firmly on the path of peace and social justice. Someone who is unwilling to subtract, to take away, from what he holds important and things that are worth getting angry about.

Very cool use of type in this piece! I also enjoy the black/white against the color - I have been meaning to try that for a long time now!

This is a wonderful piece! It feels angry--all those words, the red, the spiked hair, and no face, no individuality. I love it!

Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting my blog...and for the lovely compliments on my IF piece. Your piece is great! There are so many different ways of interpreting this week's theme, but it kind of feels like we are on the same track.
