Illustration Friday – Talisman
Talisman – anything whose presence exercises a remarkable or powerful influence on human feelings or actions. This partial line – "i carry your heart" – from an e.e.cummings poem popped into my head when I saw the topic for this week.

Love the colored figure surrounded by those wonderful black and white zentangles.
omg. this is gorgeous. i love all the detail. i'm reminded of marcasite...this is like a cut jewel.
I love the art and the sentiment :) lovely!
As usual wonderful patterns and colours
very interesting depiction. Liked the use of patterns a lot.
the heart is lovely and all your details always amaze me.
another beautiful piece! i just love your style and detailed work!
Strong design quality!
Oh now this is nice!!! And so appropriate for the topic. I like how you've placed the work, by seeing just a bit of the face, the mouth, the focus rests on the neck and the "talisman". And the background pattern in the border, well, that's just EXCELLENT! And a work of art in itself! Great job here!
I love the shapes and patterns you put in the border Valerie!:) Well composed and perfectly executed.
Whoa! I missed this one. Just look at all that detail! I am speechless.
