Illustration Friday - Drifting
Oh, it is so nice to be back with an IF entry! It's been so crazy the last few weeks that I have not had time to post anything or even spend time looking at the IF site. So, here' my entry for "drifting." This piece is based on a Vettriano piece - was done a while back for a "takeoff on an artist" piece. It's called "Drifters."

^_^
this is so gorgeous - it has an art deco feel about it with their legs sticking out the bottom of their coats and I like the details of the glasses on the table.
We are going to Dolly Sods in Monongahela national forest WV - have you been there?
Thanks everyone! Amy - I've never been to Dolly Sods. It is absolutely beautiful country there though. I would think the hike will be stunning!
Love your style!

Fantastic job! Love the idea and the richness of color here.
Awesome! Such a great feel to this piece.
Dear Valerie,
I had such a great time catching up with your art. You've created some wonderful masterpieces over the summer! Your patterns and lines are incredible, as always. And I love these giraffes. They are fantastic, and they make me laugh.
Thank you, dear friend, for your kind words and compassion. You gave me strength and courage and comfort when I needed it most. I am so very grateful for your friendship.

Fantastic drawing and good idea!
Maybe you could try painting with gouache, as well. That is a nice technique and you can combine it with pencils!
